Our first Akita Dreamy, BISS Ch Ondines Day Dream finished her AKC championship winning BEST IN SHOW! at the Regional 2 Akita specialty! She ranked AKC top 20 Akita in less than 15 shows owner handled! The second top winning Akita was Santina's bred by puppy Nike, MBPIS CH Masa Mune's Just Do It, finished in six shows 5 majors ranked him top 20 Akita from the puppy class over specials! all 5 majors were won at regional Akita specialty's & specialty weekends breeder owner handled. We have had many top AKC wins that we are humbled by and proud of with limited showing.
My daughter Santina at 17 qualified with two of our top 20 dogs here at Masa Mune Akita's to compete in the most prestigious dog show in the USA, the Westminster Kennel Club dog show, entry by invitation only. Santina received invitations on her puppy BPISS CH Masa Mune's Just Do It., and BISS CH Ondine's Day Dream. This is an excellent accomplishment by a teenager!
AKC SPECIALTY WINS: We have over 40 wins, multiple wins at multiple regional Akita specialties in four States, all but one were breeder/owner handled. Including one Best In Show Specialty, multi-best of winners & multi winners dog & winners bitch. Two generations of specialty BEST BRED by exhibitor dog in show, and one best bred by exhibitor bitch in show at the Golden Gate Akita club regional specialty in California.
We have found many tools over the years that have helped us become better breeders including AKC Judges Bob & Pat Hastings, whose home I have been to in evaluations of my litter, and adult dogs back in the 90's when Bob was still alive. In 2007 through 2010 I was the breeder/owner/handler of the number 1 Akita and the number 2 Akita in the USA UKC 3/2009. CH Masa Mune's Disturbing The Peace Vengeance was also ranked number 2 Akita 2007 in the USA in UKC, with wins that include 12 Best of Breeds, 8 Group first wins. I truly enjoyed showing my dogs.
I have also finished two AKC Bulldog champion titles and one earned top 10 status, and I also had the honor of winning a reserve BEST IN SHOW from the puppy class with the Bulldog champion "Annie" that belongs to my dear friend Lola. Thank you Lola for 20 years of support and love.
